Terms of Use
These terms govern use of the Empower the Room website. By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully and respectfully.
Content
Website text, branding, graphics, recordings and original materials belong to Empower the Room or their respective licensors and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission.
General submissions
Submitting a guest, panel, booking or partnership form does not guarantee selection, engagement or a business relationship. Do not submit confidential information. You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it.
Open-call submissions
You must be at least 18 years old to submit a written story, voice recording, video or Room Check-In. You retain ownership of your submission and confirm that you created it, have all permissions needed for anyone shown or identified, and have not included confidential, defamatory, infringing or unlawful material.
Unless you choose “private research only,” by checking the release box and submitting, you grant Empower the Room a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, caption, excerpt, reproduce, distribute, publicly display and promote the submission for Empower the Room editorial, programming and promotional purposes. A private-research submission may be reviewed internally for evaluation and program development but will not be published under this release. Submission does not guarantee selection, publication, an invitation or compensation. Any different arrangement must be set out in a separate written agreement. Empower the Room may decline, remove or discontinue use of a submission at its discretion.
Events and services
Specific speaking engagements, sponsorships, tickets, programs and services may be governed by additional written agreements, pricing and cancellation terms.
Third-party services
The site may link to platforms we do not control. Their own terms and privacy practices apply.
No guarantees
Motivational and educational content is offered for general information and does not replace legal, financial, medical or professional advice.
Changes
We may update the site and these terms as Empower the Room grows.
These initial terms should be reviewed by qualified counsel before the open call is promoted broadly.
